In addition to what the reviewer "bearpuf" said, this version stars the three adult leads of the film: Edmund Gwenn, Maureen O'Hara, and John Payne.

Even though the MP3s of these Lux shows are recorded at just 32Kbps, the sound quality on the Lux show that I have listened to from the 1940s and 50s is very good.

Subject: A Miracle on 34th Street
I've played this ten times this week for each of my ten classes just to get the 3rd and 4th graders to listen critically. Shocking as it may seem, they enjoyed it. This is a marvelous rendition and worthy of being an audio classic. Of course I'm prejudiced as I'm partial to all three of the actors.
